Dave Symondson
Dave is a dynamic entrepreneur who is passionate about business and achieving results. He has over 25 years experience of working within the financial services sector, having worked with a number of mortgage and loan lenders including Boston Trust & Savings, Premier Portfolio and The Beacon Group and having Managerial experience within lending, collections and customer services.
In 1999 Dave was Co-Founder and Director of mdnationwide Ltd a national direct to consumer financial services company. Within 5 years turnover had gone for £0 to £15,000,000 with pre tax profit increasing from £0 to £1,800,000. This was achieved through a multi faceted marketing strategy and exceptional CRM by the way of a 40 seat predictive dialler which enabled customer retention/repeat business to be exceptionally high but in all cases maintaining high margins.
In 2001 Dave was Co-Founder and Director of Bananas inc Ltd, a national business to business mortgage packager. Within 3 years pre tax profits went from £0 to £400,000. The foundations of the company were based on exceptional customer service, and ‘nothing ever being too much trouble’.
In April 2007 both companies above were acquired by The Beacon Group, a leading niche lender at that time. Dave then sat on The Beacon Management Board and was then responsible for 2 of the 5 group companies.
In 2008 Dave also took responsibility for Beacon Mortgages Ltd. After a strategic review it was decided that Beacon Mortgages Ltd and Bananas inc Ltd should be merged to become Beacon Mortgage Packaging Ltd. This was all achieved within a 3 month period and resulted in considerable savings and efficiencies.
